why you should select C Hanlon for your plumbing, building, roofing, central heating, electrical project.
From Park’s of Glasgow to Power Rod of Glasgow George Parks of Glasgow was formed in the early 1900’s and became a Ltd company in 1947, concentrating on plumbing, gas fitting and electrical work.
Throughout the 1950s and 1960s George Parks carried out extensive maintenance work on houses throughout Glasgow. In the mid 1970s it decided to diversify and purchased the Power Rod Drainage franchise.
Power Rod offered a state of the art drain cleaning service to customers throughout Glasgow and the West of Scotland. Due to the strong brand name, George Parks started trading solely as Power Rod Glasgow Ltd in 1993.
This new company still offered a plumbing and central heating service as well as drain cleaning.
Crann joins the C Hanlon
In 2000, William Crann Plumbers, who were also extremely successful plumbers serving Glasgow and surrounding areas since 1894, joined forces with Power Rod Ltd to become Power Rod & Crann Ltd.
This merger resulted in two of Glasgow’s most established companies coming together to offer expert services in general plumbing works, drainage maintenance and central heating installations.
This new company became part of the Group in 2002 and became known as Power Rod Drainage Speciailists.
C Hanlon Plumbing & Heating Ltd
C Hanlon Plumbing and Heating Ltd was formed over twenty years ago in the South of Glasgow. In 1999, due to continued expansion, it moved from its relatively small premises to Muirend Avenue in Cathcart.
As specialists in central heating installations, bathrooms, general plumbing, joinery and electrical work, C Hanlon Plumbing and Heating has served the domestic and commercial market since 1982.
Expansion in the 1990s and 2000
Rapid expansion in the late 1990s and early 2000 saw diversification into other areas such as water management, industrial and commercial heating, and refurbishments.
This resulted in the formation of the C Hanlon Group, which now consists of C Hanlon Plumbing & Heating, C Hanlon Bathrooms, C Hanlon Building and Roofing, C Hanlon Electrical, C Hanlon Utilities, Industrial Commercial Heating Solutions, Central Heating Installation and Power Rod Drainage.
Continued Growth The growth of the group was further evident when in January 2006 we move to our new and current premises at Brackenrig Road in Thornliebank.
This purpose built office enables the C Hanlon to continue to offer its wide range of services to the domestic and commercial market.
